The Host
Outspoken, opinionated and brutally blunt, Hal Turner has been
called one of the Founding Fathers of the talk radio revival.
Hal brings the kind of intellect, humor and a candidness to talk radio
which hasn't been heard in years. His biting commentary drives Leftists
nuts and makes the politically-correct crowd run for cover.
An ardent Pro-Life, conservative, Hal enjoys a rather
mischievous Libertarian streak--a dichotomy that confounds
some. Until October, 2006, Hal was a Registered Republican but
changed his registration to "Unaffiliated" after the GOP changed
from the "Grand Old Party" to "Gays Or Perverts."
The change to Unaffiliated was also based his belief that the attacks
of September 11 were "an inside job" accomplished via complicity from
the government, the illegal war against Iraq which was fomented on
outright lies, the shredding of our Constitution through the
USA PATRIOT ACT and the Military Commission Act of 2006.
He's the type of guy you either love or love to hate. One thing's for
sure, he says what he means and means what he says! This, above all
else, pleases his listeners and drives his critics crazy. Go get'em,
Hal!
The Show
The Hal Turner Show was created to bring American-style
talk radio to people around the world. The U.S. is the only
nation on Earth that truly protects the free speech of its citizens,
even speech which many find offensive. The citizens of most of the
other nations in the world cannot even conceive of such freedom. We
proudly broadcast our message for all the world to hear.
Freedom is wonderful, resilient, uplifting, even glorious. It
can also be messy, unkind, insensitive, offensive and unforgiving. Hal
Turner celebrates the glorious abundance of liberty that IS the
United States. He would much rather accept the chaos of
freedom than the order of tyranny. Accordingly, The Hal Turner Show
is, and is designed to be, controversial. The show is brash, harsh,
irreverent, funny, scary. . . and much more. Love it or hate it, the
choice is yours.
Some History
Hal Turner is a 45 year old, white, married Catholic. Despite
todays climate of throw-away marriages and rampant divorce, Hal has
been married to the same woman for 16 years. They have a thirteen year
old son.
His social philosophy is arch-conservative. Hal is staunchly pro-life
and an avid Constitutional originalist. He believes the US Constitution
is NOT a "living document" whose meaning "evolves" but rather that it
should be interpreted today as it was when it was first written.
Hal was elected to the Hudson County Republican Committee in 1991 and
served for two years. In 1992 he became North Jersey Campaign
Coordinator for the Presidential campaign of Patrick J. Buchanan. In
1995, Hal became
Chairman of the Republican Party of Hudson County, NJ Corp. until
1997 when GOP politics under Governor Christine Todd Whitman became too
liberal.
In 1997, Hal became the statewide campaign chairman for Libertarian
Murray Sabrin.
That race made history. It was the first time a Third-Party Candidate
in New Jersey
qualified for State "Matching Campaign Funds" and was the first
Third-Party campaign
in New Jersey to garner over 100,000 votes in the General Election!
In the year 2000, Hal ran for the Republican
nomination to the United States House of Representatives for the 13th
District of New Jersey. After losing the June Primary Election, he
began a weekly radio show.
Through his show, Hal developed a reputation as being the most
controversial radio talk show host in the entire world. He's a typical,
everyday, average, married, white guy. A father, a Catholic. But what
made him controversial - and still does - is this: he says publicly
what most people only dare to think privately.
